Update prmon_log_of_Inbreeding_year.pl to cope with 0-variance in Inbreeding when regressing F on subset of years - 2015-12-04, 2016-02-17:
Monitoring: Bugs in table 5 concerning wrong values and coloring fixed. These have been mainly cosmetical bugs, the Ne as such were always ok. - 2015-10-15:
Monitoring supplemented with a detailed description on how the effective population size is computed and which method for Ne calculation is to be preferred. - 2015-03-10:
Bugfix on table 3 in the Population Report
An observant user has brought an issue with table 3 in the Population Report to our attention. The sums simply did not seem to be correct under some circumstances.
A database table was erroneously filled with sire data instead of dam data. This bug slipped into the Popreport code around July 2012. Sorry. - 2013-08-27:
New monitoring module of PopRep went online.
Computations for Inbreeding and Monitoring are now based on the generation intervall instead of years. Generation intervals below one year are not supported. - 2012-07-26:
A new release of PopRep has been activated which addresses table 1 in the Population Report and table 7 in the Inbreeding Report. Under certain circumstances the counts given in table 1 were wrong. This has been fixed. Furthermore, the explanatory text has been expanded considerably to explain how the entries in the table are computed and what they mean. We hope that this helps the understanding.
Table 7 in the Inbreeding Report gives the census based effective population size. In the previous version this was correct for breeds with a generation interval of 1 year. This has now been generalized and should present correct results also for other generation intervals. Furthermore, we have slightly modified the formula to account for mass selection which is usually present in every population. Thereby, the often observed inflation of the census based Ne will be somewhat reduced. Also here, the explanatory text has been expanded.
